You will need to find a best way to prepare for quizzes and tests. "Looking over your notes" is not a study skill! You need to do something active to prepare.

• Re-read the chapter OUT LOUD…to your dog, your baby sister, your mom, your mirror, anyone!!
• Read OUT LOUD your homework or notebook pages.
• Make a poster of all the important ideas. Make it colorful! Hang it up somewhere you will see it a lot. Explain it to anyone who walks by it….yes, even your dog.
• Read OUT LOUD your pages in your notebook that goes with the chapter.
• Use the vocabulary terms in new sentences. Try to make many different sentences for each term! Write them down, make pictures, hang it up. Look at it while you brush your teeth.
• Have someone quiz you on the important terms.
• Make a recording or video of yourself teaching the material. Watch/listen to it often!!
