EVOLUTION & BIODIVERSITY
My research focuses on understanding the biodiversity, ecology and evolution of marine invertebrates (e.g., cephalopods, polyplacophorans, limpets). At this moment, I am studying the macroevolutionary processes that determine the evolution of biological, ecological and biogeographic features (e.g., life histories, body size, geographical range) of the molluscs from the Pacific Ocean.

My research focuses on understanding the biodiversity, ecology and evolution of marine invertebrates (e.g., mollusks). At this time, I find myself studying the macroevolutionary and microevolutionary processes that determine the evolution of biological, ecological and biogeographic features of mollusks that inhabit the Pacific Ocean. The aim of this work is to integrate information on their biology, ecology, and distribution, in order to discover biogeographical patterns, evaluate the historical changes that have formed and thus to propose a scenario of their evolution.
Research
The objective of these works is to integrate the information of their biology, ecology, distribution, phylogeny and fossils, in order to discover macroevolutionary patterns, evaluate the historical changes that have formed them and thus be able to propose a scenario of their evolution. In parallel, in a microevolutionary approach, I investigate the phylogeographic patterns of diversity, structure and genetic connectivity in populations of marine invertebrates.
