Knockma Forest Walk

A mystical forest walk with old ruins. There are hidden graves and ruins in this forest that are believed to be the resting places for the old king and Queen of Connaught. Also believed to be the hill of the Fairies.

The Park lands are wholly owned by the State and managed solely for National Park purposes

The Burren National Park is located in the southeastern corner of the Burren.

The word “Burren” comes from an Irish word “Boíreann” meaning a rocky place

The Park includes a Slí na Sláinte walking route, trails through woodland and a public playground within old garden walls and barbeque areas and an Outdoor Gym.
