Adding Epic and Adding Scenario formats to our Wednesday nights. Non RPG folk please read on (I get to you).
As of now every full length, full sized game played on Wednesday nights will add 1 point to the CNJ (or Store) pool.
The pool will be the base XP for every RPG player.
That means if we play 1 standard game, 2 RPGs, and 3 scenario games, the night would add 6 points to the pool. If we already had 10, our new total is 16. If I'm a new player I would have 16 points to out fit my new character. If I died in the RPG I would make a new character at 16 points. This includes ship cost (no free Z or TIE anymore).
What is the incentive for living? You keep your ship and gear... As well as bonus kill XP and bonus objective XP.
What are the new RPG cost breakdowns?
Cards cost as they did before (base ship minus PS, upgrade cost).
PS will now be 5 per level across the board.
EPT slot will remain 3.
All points about living, ship intact, completing the main objective, etc are gone. Playing nets a pool point.
Kills of targets under 50pts is 1 bonus XP, over 50pt targets are 2 bonus XP for the killer pilot.
Bonus objectives (other than the main objective) are 1 pt for the pilot who triggered it.
We will keep what we have now, but new players and new characters will fall into this as of now.
What will this do to Wednesday nights and what are these new formats listed?!
The goal is to get more games per week.
Standard, Epic, and Wingman go unchanged except that they even add to our RPG pool.
Scenario play is as follows: playing missions from the books, or from mission software on FFG's website, or ones you throw together where there are win conditions other than standard win/loss criteria. These games use normal (non RPG components). These add to the pool.
RPG no longer is relegated to an all or nothing game. You can have multiple tables running different RPGs for different sized groups, events that tie together, etc. All of these add to the pool.
