How do I join CNJAC?
Complete our affiliate interest form
This tells us more about you and gives us information we will need to make you an official member of our chapter through our national organization.
After you fill out the form, please keep an eye on your email for communication from our VP Membership, Danielle.
*If you are already an initiated member of SAI*
Pay your SAI Alumnae Association Member dues ($50 per year) through National Headquarters. Learn more by visiting the National Website. This amount is billed each year by National Headquarters and is not paid to the chapter.
*If you are not yet an initiated member, our VP Membership will guide you through this process.*
All members must be current with their Alumnae Association dues in order to participate in CNJAC chapter events, vote, and and/or hold office.
Watch for your notice in the mail or email from the Alumnae Association. Be sure to pay it PROMPTLY. If you have questions, please contact National Headquarters.
Those members who are 50+ year members and/or 70+ years of age are NOT required to pay Alumnae Association dues or local dues. However, if you would like to pay local dues, you may. Thank you!
At the time of affiliation, you will pay your CNJAC dues
Active member chapter dues are $40 per year ($20 per half year). These are local dues which support the functioning of CNJAC, and are paid directly to the chapter.
You may mail a check (made out to Central New Jersey Alumnae Chapter of SAI) to our Treasurer or give in person at the next meeting. Cash is acceptable if joining us in person at a meeting or event (please do not send cash through the mail!), and we will also accept Zelle payments to saicnjac@gmail.com.
Active members attend and participate in chapter meetings, functions and events. View our calendars here: CNJAC calendars
Associate member dues are $25.00 for the year. Associate members may attend meetings and events, but are not expected to attend all chapter events, and cannot vote or hold office.
What do I need to know about being a member of CNJAC once I join?
We hold chapter meetings or events roughly once a month (sometimes a meeting and a social), September-May.
Our chapter leadership vision is that if you are a member, you will be a leader. Over time, we encourage you to serve as a committee chairman and/or chapter officer.
We think of ourselves as a small(ish) but mighty chapter. We currently have about 10-12 members who regularly attend meetings.
We like to eat! Most of our chapter meetings involve yummy snacks.
Just like in the collegiate chapters, alumnae chapters have ritual, committees, fundraisers, service projects, etc. These just tend to occur slightly less frequently on the alumnae level.
