I'm a staff data scientist at Airbnb. I work with the Marketplace Intelligence and Forecasting team on market optimization problems. Our team builds and deploys causal-ML tools that empower Hosts to succeed on our platform. Previously I worked in data science at LinkedIn, where I built fully-scaled tools that help product management, AI and engineering teams better and more quickly understand the impact of our A/B experiments on member value. Prior to moving to industry, I was tenured faculty at the Department of Economics at Monash University. My research fields are microeconomic theory and experimental economics, with focus in Social and Economics Networks. Topics that my coauthors and I have studied span information in markets, word-of-mouth communication, trade and intermediation, auctions, bargaining, and charitable giving.
