Our Heritage - In May 1932, a group met to plan a rose society. They invited amateurs to exhibit their best rose blooms. Twenty-five met again in August 1932 to complete the organization of the Cleveland Rose Society, Ohio's first. The CRS gavel is made from the old wood framing from President Harry Truman's Oval Office.
The Cleveland Rose Society is an affiliated chapter of the American Rose Society (ARS).
