I am a Senior Economist in the Development Economics Research Group at the World Bank. My research studies how financial sector policies and bank lending affect firm growth, job creation, and financial inclusion. My work draws primarily on administrative data, often combined with causal inference methods and program evaluations, to study how credit is allocated in practice and what this means for real economic outcomes in developing countries. I joined the World Bank in 2011 and hold a Ph.D. in Economics from UCLA.
