Claudia N. Berg, PhD
I am a Development Economist with advanced data management and micro-econometric skills and proven track record of spatial-econometric analysis. Over the years, I have served in several teams as the data specialist and writer for knowledge products. My skills are versatile and so far applied to poverty, trade, infrastructure, and finance.
Currently, I am a team member in the World Development Report team of the World Bank. Previously, I worked in the Poverty and Equity Practice, Development Research Group, and the Sustainable Development Front Office of the Africa region. Outside the World Bank, I applied my skills in International Monetary Fund and at the Inter-American Development Bank .
During PhD studies, I worked at George Washington University where I taught microeconomics. My dissertation focused on microfinance and its impact on the ultra-poor in Bangladesh.
