I’m a veteran high school science teacher. Most recently, I taught at Park School of Baltimore.
Outside of work, I’m interested in public policy. I took many classes in economics and political science while I was in college at Columbia University, and I’m proud of my knowledge of education, health, and foreign policy.
I enjoy swimming, cooking, social dance, spending time with friends and family, and being in nature. I like lots of things related to the arts: I write poetry, do amateur acting (and teach an introductory improv class), sing in choirs (and at karaoke bars!), have lead several book clubs, and enjoy trips to museums and live performances —plays, orchestral and chamber music, dance performances—as well as movies. I am active in the Unitarian Universalist Church and have held several leadership roles in the congregations I've been a member of.
