"Goose":
10 year old, 12.3hh, grey roan, Gypsy Vanner/Welsh gelding
(Description and photos provided by Owner/Therapeutic Equine Program):
"Standing at 12.3 hands, he’s a stout, handsome horse with a lot of potential, but Goose requires an owner who can give him the time, attention, and confidence he needs to thrive.
Goose can be a bit tentative and takes time to trust new people, so he needs a confident, experienced owner who understands his need for patience and gentle handling. He’s not the type of horse for a beginner, as he responds best to someone who can build his confidence and lead him with a calm, steady presence. This sweet boy has a big heart and we believe that with the right owner, Goose has the potential to develop into a wonderful partner for a variety of activities.
Goose spent time in two therapeutic equine programs. He was used in lessons until about a month ago, when he started to behaviorally object. We’ve come to realize that being handled by several different people isn’t ideal for him. He tolerates it but needs consistency in how he’s handled. We think he would benefit from finding his “person.”
Goose is very loving. He enjoys being groomed and is very social with people and other horses.
He loves people and bonds easily. He especially prefers kids and enjoys being ridden by them. He can lunge and understands whoa, walk on, trot, canter. He has been on trails and lots of obstacles. He loads and trailers well. He stands to be tied. He can be nervous around farriers and takes time to warm up to them. He’s good for the vet. He’s healthy and sound. He’s not on any medications and is an easy keeper."

"Sriracha de Molinero" aka "Cali":
9 year old, 13.3hh, bay, Paso Fino mare
(Description and photos provided by Owner/Therapeutic Equine Program):
"Seeking a new home for this lovely 13.1 hands Paso Fino mare, named Cali. This zippy and spirited mare embodies the classic Paso Fino energy and would make a fantastic project horse for an experienced trainer or rider.
Originally the personal horse of our late founder, she now resides at our barn, but was never intended to be part of our equine-assisted therapy team. She’s looking for an owner who can provide the guidance and partnership she deserves.
Due to thin soles she tends to have sensitive front feet, especially in wet weather and we find that she is affected in the wet winter months. She has been barefoot for over a year and a half.
She will need an intermediate rider. We haven’t seen her buck or rear, but she has a big motor and loves to GO. She is very forward and likes to work hard. She is light on the bit and can carry herself well. She will take over if she feels her rider isn’t in control. We think she prefers riding outside versus being cooped up in the arena.
Before she came to us, she was used as a trail horse. Her prior owner described her as hot and willing to ride for miles. We don’t think she’s ever had her own special bond with someone before. She prefers women and takes a little bit to build her trust.
She can lunge, understands walk, whoa, trot. She is very smart and learns quickly. She needs a strong, grounded, gentle rider. Someone who will appreciate her sensitivity and reassure her when she is nervous. She can be anxious about the farrier due to being tender footed. She can be tied. She’s fine with the vet, and as far as I remember she’s fine to trailer, though we haven’t tested this in a long time.

This mare is a real gem!
Truly an extraordinary individual!
"Desa":
17 year old, 15hh, bay, Registered BLM Mustang mare
Desa is super sweet, affectionate, sweet, bold, sensible, calm and lovely.
She is also exceedingly mellow and chill!
Desa is completely socialized and ground trained.
She was adopted from the BLM as a yearling and has been handled daily, by just one owner since then.
Desa is extremely easy to work with, and to handle around the barn.
She has a wonderful Mustang conformation, and is just the right height!
Also she is a nice age; mature but not too old.
Therefore, you should have a good 10+ years more of riding, enjoyment, fun and...love!
In addition, it is exciting to have the option of starting her under saddle your way, so you can progress at your own pace, make your own mistakes, and have your own achievements, triumphs and success!
100% sound and healthy.
Up to Date on everything.
Big, beautiful, black, strong as flint, barefoot feet.

Price negotiable to the right person and home
Unfortunately, Owner is elderly and needed to rehome due to her health issues.
(Description by Owner):
"Desa has been saddled, worked on the ground, but never ridden.
I adopted her from BLM as a yearling.
Trained her up to saddle, bridle, working in round pen.
Her temperament is more laid back than her pasture mate.
She's the lovey one, likes face pets & of course treats. Sweet girl.
I could see her being a lesson horse maybe, with work.
She also is sound, great feet. UTD on shots as well."
***NOTE***
You see the white markings on Desa's back?
Some people think it is magical/mystical/enchanted!
Below is the "scientific" definition.
All About That White Lacing On Your Horse’s Back
"The umbrella term for these patterns of white markings that continue along and alongside the spine is Leukotrichia (spelled with either a ‘k’ or a ‘c’). ‘Leuko’ means white and ‘trichia’ means hair.The lacing pattern is termed Reticulated leukotrichia – reticulated means ‘to resemble a net or a network’. There is no pain associated with this.
"Havoc":
13 year old, 16+hh, chestnut, JC Thoroughbred gelding
(Description and Photos provided by owner):
"Havoc (JC and barn name is Havoc) is a handsome, 13yo chestnut OTTB gelding by Exchange Rate out of a mare by Saratoga Six. He was bought off the track as a 6yo to be an eventer, but then officially retired him from ridden work 2+ years ago due to chronic soundness issues. In fact, before retirement he started to develop some unsafe behavior under saddle, which I suspect was pain related. But as long as he is not ridden, Havoc remains quite comfortable and happy. Havoc's ideal home would be one where he lives in a pasture with friends, and has an owner who loves to provide attention but does not want to ride. He is extremely social and smart, and he would love groundwork and at liberty work, or trick training, but even just a person to come groom and love on him regularly would make him happy. Havoc currently lives with 3 other geldings in a pasture in Sebastopol. Two are quite old, but Havoc and the younger one play all day, which is quite entertaining. Havoc is not for a beginner as he can be spooky at times, but he is also the sweetest, cuddliest, and most playful horse I’ve ever met, and once he knows his person he becomes quite attached. He is pasture sound and currently barefoot, although he might need shoes depending on the footing. He loves every horse he meets, which makes him easy to integrate into an established herd. He is not an easy keeper though, so his new person would have to make sure he gets enough to eat, especially if he is out with others. If you are looking for a sweet boy with a ton of personality, Havoc would love to meet you."

Offered by SERRA:
"Romeo":
18 year old, Chestnut, Thoroughbred gelding
(Description and Photos provided by Rescue Group):
Romeo is an 18-year-old Thoroughbred gelding with a heart as sweet as his name suggests. Though he hasn’t been on the trails recently, Romeo has experience being ridden on trails and was also trained as an English jumper. In his earlier years, he participated in FAA shows at county fairs, where he was proudly ridden and shown by the owner's 12-year-old daughter. We are still evaluating him for rideability; however, with a gentle and kind personality, Romeo is the perfect companion for anyone looking for a calm and experienced horse.
"Maddy":
14 year old, Chestnut Thoroughbred mare
Alongside Romeo, we are also looking to rehome Maddy, his 14-year-old Thoroughbred mare companion. Maddy had an exciting career racing in New Zealand before being flown to the U.S. around eight years ago. Since then, she’s been ridden on the trails by her current owner. Like Romeo, we are still assessing Maddy for rideability; she Maddy shares a close bond with Romeo, and we’d love to see them find a new home together."
