College Bound 2020

Information for the 2021 College Trip will be available by Dec 2020

College Bound has been cancelled. We will be working on refunds.

We are currently full with 40 students and have started a waitlist for others wishing to participate in the trip.

The remaining $100 balance will be due on or before April 23rd, 2020. Payment can be made by cash or check. All checks should be made payable to CHS PTSA.

We will have two more meetings before the trip in June. Our next meeting will be on Thursday, Apr.23rd at 6pm (rescheduled from Mar.19th) in Room 114. Our final meeting will be on Thursday, May 28th at 6pm in Room 114. Students and parents should plan to attend both meetings.

In order to receive full credit for the writing workshop students must:

Attend four of the five sessions (this means signing in for four of the dates), use a google doc to share their essays with our mentors', turn in their first draft of the prompt by Feb. 20th, must peer edit with each other on that day's session, and turn in their final draft for the last session on March 5th.

Students will only be given credit so long as they have their first and last draft turned into Ms. Sabrina and Ms. Tanya.

*If a student is added from the waitlist they must contact Wahupa to meet their requirements for attending this trip.

This is a 5-day trip visiting California colleges for CHS Juniors

Trip Date: June 15-19, 2020

Informational Meetings: January 16th and 23rd @ 6pm

• A spot on the trip is guaranteed to the first 40 students who have:

-met the eligibility requirements

• GPA of 3.0 or greater
• Citizenship grade of all E and G
• turned in a completed registration packet
• paid the non-refundable $50 deposit
• registered with Wahupa

After we have enrolled 40 students, all other interested students will be placed on a wait list, and notified should space become available on the trip.

Tentative Colleges for 2020 trip: UC Irvine, Cal Poly Pomona, UC Merced, UC Davis, UC Berkeley, San Jose State, UC Santa Cruz, CSU Monterey Bay, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, UCLA.
