I am a health economist, currently working as a Research Associate in the Division of Health Policy and Economics at Weill Medical College of Cornell University and as a Core Faculty Fellow at the Cornell Health Policy Center. I also partner with the United Nations Development Programme, where I design and implement randomized controlled trials aimed at advancing health service delivery in developing countries.
I am broadly interested in health economics and its intersections with public and development economics. My current research agenda examines how provider incentives, government policies, social determinants, and adverse shocks shape health outcomes. I focus in particular on the long-term effects of large-scale shocks on healthcare delivery, physician behavior, and patient utilization patterns. I conduct both independent and collaborative research using large administrative medical claims and novel datasets, employing quasi-experimental and experimental methods.
I taught Intermediate Microeconomics and Health Economics during the 2018-2019 academic year at Georgia State University. In the summers of 2018 and 2019, I also taught in the Fiscal Decentralization and Local Governance training programs at the International Center of Public Policy (ICePP). More recently, I taught Principles of Data Science for Health Policy Research in Summer 2025 and served as a guest lecturer on Health Data for Research (Springs 2024&2025) at Weill Cornell.
