Winter School on

Computational Intelligence in Pattern Recognition

December 12-17, 2016

Overview and Objectives

Computational Intelligence is a set of biological and linguistic computational tools and methodologies to address complex and challenging real-world problems to which traditional approaches may not be very effective. Major constituents of Computational Intelligence are neural networks, evolutionary algorithms, fuzzy systems, and hybrid intelligent systems.

The objective of CIPR-2016 is to provide a forum for students, researchers and professionals to enhance their background and get exposed to intricate research areas in the field of Computational Intelligence and Pattern Recognition. The objectives of the winter school are as follows.

•    To disseminate new knowledge on subjects of Computational Intelligence and Pattern Recognition.

•    To provide refreshers courses for Faculty members and engineers in the industry, and

•    To learn advanced topics in different domain of Computational Intelligence and related areas.

The Winter school is interleaved with invited talk from expert faculty members/scientist/researchers of premier institutes. The tentative topics of CIPR-2016 are as follows:

•    Computational Intelligence

•    Machine Learning

•    Soft Computing

•    Pattern Recognition

•    Medical Imaging

•    Data Mining etc.
