One of my fondest memories of Cinnamon was when I was a cadet in Airborne School at Fort Benning, Georgia. Hungry, dehydrated and exhausted from training, I was hours before my first jump. We were allowed to make a phone call and I wasn't able to get a hold of anyone at my house, so I decided to call the Smith residence. Cinnamon answered and we had a short, friendly conversation. Before she let me go, she told me to take care and to be safe. It meant a lot that I was able to talk to someone from back home before jumping out of that C-130. She was kind of like a guardian angel. Happy Birthday Cinnamon. You are truly one of a kind and thanks for looking out.
