Research Interests

My research interests lie in statistical machine learning and pattern recognition, especially in high-dimensional data analysis, representation, and their applications in pattern recognition and computer vision. Now I focused on the three topics:

  • Manifold learning, in particular multiple manifolds and bundle manifold learning
  • Sparse Representation, Low-Rank Model, Matrix Completion, Subspace Clustering, Dictionary learning, and etc.
  • Visual Object Categorization (VOC)
