*NEW 2018-19 Academic year:
As of the 2018-19 SPRING Semester, the fundraising portion of the student fees will change. To eliminate confusion and ensure collection of all fees we will no longer split out a portion of Instrumental Music fees (PSCF) managed by the Conifer High School Instrumental Music Boosters (CHSIMB). For ALL programs except Marching Band, the entire semester student fee will be on your Jeffco Student Fee bill payable via Jeffco Connect, with all of your other school fees.
How can your family support the long-term health of the CHS instrumental program?
Every year CHSIMB hosts one or two fundraisers intended for the overall support of the music programs. Long-term expenditures would include things like new instruments and uniforms. Please help out the future students of the program just like previous families have helped your student by participating in as many fundraisers as you can. The more funds we raise through our community organizations the more we can reduce overall music fees.
We encourage ALL Instrumental music families to use the fundraising opportunities to support all Instrumental music programs. Safeway Gas and Grocery Reward Cards, Scrip, Garage Sale, Amazon Smile purchases, Jazz & Orchestra Dinner Dance and Miscellaneous sales such as Butter Braids are a few of the fundraising opportunities open to ALL Instrumental Music families. Let's face it, fundraising is one of the necessities of running a great instrumental music program. Whether it's paying for buses to competitions, additional instructors to improve the students' musicianship, or additional sheet music so we don't have to listen to the same songs year after year, the music program gets better when the parents and students help out by raising extra money.
*What is Per Student Commitment Fee?
The Per Student Commitment Fee is the amount of money in addition to school fees necessary to pay for the expenses for one student to participate in the LOBO Regiment Marching Band. The goal is to keep fees lower and to enable families to use fundraising to cover a portion of the cost of the Marching Band program.
The *2018-19 Per Student Commitment Fees are:
Concert Band - Fall $20 -fall
Orchestra & Chamber $15 - fall
Jazz Band $20 - fall
Fall Marching Band $445 fall*
PLEASE NOTE: The FALL 2018 Per Student Commitment Fee amounts listed above are in addition to the School Fees for Instrumental Music courses. (directly from the school home page Fee Appendix - Financials section.)
