With great pleasure, I’m happy to give a glowing letter of recommendation for Chris Hawley in the role of Copywriter. I’ve known Chris Hawley for nearly 3 years and in that time, I have had nothing but positive things to say about him. He quickly met and exceeded my expectations in more ways than one. For starters, his command of the English language is second to none. Which is why I quickly leaned on Chris whenever there was a question of grammar, spelling, or style guide best practices. In fact, he’ll probably have a few changes to my copy here, and I have been writing for more than 25 years. That’s also why Chris was always my “go to” for many of our higher initiative projects as well. His attention to detail and understanding of language made him an invaluable member of my team.
Within under a year, I also recognized his leadership skills. He provides sound insights, clear and articulate direction, and a razor-sharp focus on the overall objective. Chris managed two writers, led copywriting discussion groups, and maintained all internal communications for the entire organization. This included C-Suite content, as well as taking lead as managing editor for the company’s internal portal.
There is no doubt in my mind that Chris would be an excellent addition to any organization he joins. He excels in so many areas, including grammar, and content strategy, and he has a deep understanding of how to structure copy that speaks to the target audience. He is a master craftsman at almost all forms of copy and has the ability to shift gears from B2B to social media and practically everything in between. If you have any other questions or would like to discuss his abilities in greater detail, please do not hesitate to contact me anytime.

If you’re reading this, you’re in luck—you have the unique opportunity of adding one of the most promising employees I’ve managed onto your team.
As Acumatica’s Director of Communications, I supervised Chris Hawley’s work as a Marketing Coordinator over the past months. In our start-up environment, team members are expected to wear many hats and juggle a variety of roles each week to keep our marketing plans on track.
Chris learned the intricacies of these roles in record time: he authored press releases ahead of tight deadlines, devised outreach strategies for generating demand and brand awareness, and familiarized himself with HTML in order to execute many of our campaigns through Hubspot and other channels. We were so impressed that we asked him to present a marketing breakout session at our annual Acumatica Partner Summit this past February, where the feedback was very positive.
He learns fast, adapts quickly, and takes initiative. Chris is funny, good-natured, and an overall even-keel presence in the office. I appreciate his creativity and willingness to jump in and just do things! I recommend Chris and think he’ll be an asset to any team.
If you have any questions on Chris’s experience, feel free to email me at dho@acumatica.com or call at (206) 303-7750.

I managed Chris at Gleim Publications for several years. During that time, he was one of my most talented and dependable reviewers. Because our company publishes materials for many different kinds of exams using many different kinds of media, his experience at Gleim prepared him for a position in multiple industries, including publishing, journalism, and media relations. With our demanding production schedule, he became accustomed to having to multi-task and shift priorities on a moment's notice. This aspect of his position gave him the ability to seamlessly switch between different focuses, such as writing, copy editing, content reviewing, formatting, etc.
Chris is the best kind of employee. He rarely missed a day of work, was on time, had a good attitude and kept a clear head in the face of constantly switching deadlines, and he had the combination of an eye for detail and a way with words that is so vital in this industry. If I didn't know how much he will flourish and grow in graduate school, I would insist that he remain at Gleim. However, Chris is ready to explore different avenues than we can offer, and I am absolutely positive that he will impress you as much as he has impressed me.
Please feel free to contact me via email at katie.larson14@gmail.com or via phone at 352-328-6942 for more information on how Chris will be an asset to your team.
