Hydrodynamic lubrication (THD/TEHD) of journal / thrust bearings and piston rings with Computational Fluid Dynamics (in-house codes for steady-state and transient solutions, vast experience in commercial codes such as ANSYS and ABAQUS).
Shaft alignment of marine shafting systems. Effects of hull deformations using FEM. In-house codes for shaft alignment calculations.
Design optimization of mechanical components (in-house codes for meta-model assisted optimization based on genetic algorithms).
