Your deposit/purchase with Chipper Chinchillas implies agreement to all of the following:
We require a 50% non-refundable, non-transferable deposit to hold a kit until it is weaned/available for pick up. Deposits are only refunded if the chinchilla becomes ill or injured while in our care. If you are a no-show and have not made plans to reschedule a pick-up time, the deposit is forfeited. All remaining balances are due on pick-up day via cash, Zelle or Venmo (if paid in full prior to leaving the premises).
You must be 18 years or older to purchase a chinchilla from us or have a legal guardian present.
Prices are firm. Discounts are offered on multi-animal purchases.
All sales are final. We do not issue refunds or exchanges (case-by case exceptions for a replacement animal will apply only if the chinchilla is seen by a vet and it is determined the fatality can be attributed to genetic defects or that the illness was contracted in our care. Applies to death that occurs within 7 days of purchase. A vet report must be provided. Excludes fungal infections, giardia (~60% of chinchillas are carriers) or negligence on behalf of the owner such as improper care, diet, improper housing or conditions.
All chinchillas sold are inspected by us and determined to be in good health. Once a chinchilla leaves our possession, we are not liable for the chinchilla’s medical expenses/vet bills and care (food, supplies, proper caging etc.). Please adhere fully to our care guide. We also encourage you to reach out immediately if your chinchilla becomes ill for any reason and we will offer our best advice. Not every ailment warrants a vet visit.
All chinchillas sold are PET quality only and should not be used for breeding purposes unless otherwise noted. We will only sell same-sex pairs (or an individual of the same-sex if you already own chinchillas). Pedigrees will not be provided for pet quality chinchillas.
We will accept a chinchilla back into our care if you are no longer able to care for him/her, however no refund or payment will be issued in exchange for the chinchilla. We are happy to take back supplies and cages too. The buyer must make arrangements for transportation of the chinchilla(s) back to us.
Chipper Chinchillas reserves the right to refuse a sale if it is deemed the customer cannot provide adequate care.
