Stony Brook Chinese School (SBCS), founded in 1972, is a nonprofit educational organization located on Long Island, New York, dedicated to serving the local community.
For over fifty years, the school has been committed to helping the next generation of Chinese American children preserve their heritage language and culture through systematic Chinese instruction, cultural programs, and family engagement, while also promoting cultural exchange between China and the United States.
现开设课程包括:
中文语言课程:普通中文班、双语班、成人中文班(4 岁至成人)
中国文化艺术课程:书法、国画、舞蹈、武术等
文化交流活动:春节晚会、龙舟比赛、演讲比赛、社区服务活动等
Current offerings include:
Chinese Language Courses: Regular Chinese classes, bilingual classes, and adult Chinese classes (for ages 4 through adult)
Chinese Cultural & Arts Courses: Calligraphy, Chinese painting, dance, martial arts, and more
Cultural & Community Activities: Lunar New Year Gala, dragon boat racing, speech competitions, community service projects, and other events

The main objectives of CCL are:
To develop and operate a nonsectarian, nonpolitical, and racially nondiscriminatory program for the teaching of the Chinese language, and the understanding of Chinese culture and tradition.
To nurture friendship among the members to work towards propagating the Chinese culture and language and to foster a sense of community by involving members in the running of the center.
The CCL is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations to the CCL, a qualified organization under IRS regulations, are deductible as allowable by law. All donations will be acknowledged in writing, including the CCL’s tax identification number for your records. Contact your tax advisor for advice concerning the deductibility of your donation.
