一、学校简介 About the School

石溪中文学校（Stony Brook Chinese School）是一所位于纽约长岛、服务于当地社区的非营利中文教育机构，创立于 1972 年。
五十余年来，学校致力于通过系统化的中文教学、文化活动与家庭参与，帮助下一代华裔儿童传承中华语言与文化，同时促进中美文化交流。

Stony Brook Chinese School (SBCS), founded in 1972, is a nonprofit educational organization located on Long Island, New York, dedicated to serving the local community.

For over fifty years, the school has been committed to helping the next generation of Chinese American children preserve their heritage language and culture through systematic Chinese instruction, cultural programs, and family engagement, while also promoting cultural exchange between China and the United States.

现开设课程包括：

• 中文语言课程：普通中文班、双语班、成人中文班（4 岁至成人）

• 中国文化艺术课程：书法、国画、舞蹈、武术等

• 文化交流活动：春节晚会、龙舟比赛、演讲比赛、社区服务活动等

Current offerings include:

• Chinese Language Courses: Regular Chinese classes, bilingual classes, and adult Chinese classes (for ages 4 through adult)

• Chinese Cultural & Arts Courses: Calligraphy, Chinese painting, dance, martial arts, and more

• Cultural & Community Activities: Lunar New Year Gala, dragon boat racing, speech competitions, community service projects, and other events

石溪中文学校希望搭建一个温暖的平台，让中文成为孩子们连接家庭、文化、根源与自信的桥梁，让他们以双文化背景为荣，成为中美文化交流的桥梁。

In the diverse environment of American society, Chinese American children often face challenges such as language loss and weakened cultural identity.

SBCS strives to provide a warm and supportive learning community in which Chinese becomes a bridge that connects children to their families, culture, identity, and confidence. We aim to help students take pride in their bilingual and bicultural background and grow into ambassadors of cultural exchange between China and the United States.

1. 双教材并行项目 Dual-Curriculum Program

Offering multiple textbook options to accommodate different proficiency levels and enhance personalized learning.

2. 中国文化节 Chinese Cultural Festival 

   • 举办一年一度的文化节，展示中华文化，促进社区交流，增强华裔青少年的文化自豪感。

An annual cultural festival showcasing Chinese traditions, enhancing cultural pride, and promoting community engagement.

3. 龙舟比赛 Dragon Boat Racing

   • 每年组织师生参加 Port Jefferson 龙舟赛，传承中华传统，增强团队凝聚力。

Organizing students and families to participate in the annual Port Jefferson Dragon Boat Race to celebrate cultural heritage and strengthen teamwork.

4. 低收入家庭资助计划 Financial Aid Program for Low-Income Families

   • 为经济困难家庭提供学费和教材补助，确保孩子们享有平等的中文学习机会。

Providing tuition and textbook subsidies to ensure equal access to Chinese education for all children.

5. 教室租赁支持 Classroom Rental Support

   • 学校目前在石溪大学租赁教室，租金逐年上涨。长期资助将有助于稳定学费，使更多家庭能够承担学习费用。

The school currently rents classroom space at Stony Brook University, and rental fees increase each year.
Long-term sponsorship helps stabilize tuition rates, making Chinese education accessible for more families.

For the Lunar New Year Gala: venue, costumes, props, choreography/directing support.

所有赞助款项将严格用于中文教育及文化推广项目。学校每年将提供财务报告与项目成效总结，确保资金使用公开透明。

Important Note:

All sponsorship funds will be used strictly for Chinese education and cultural programs. The school will provide annual financial reports and program summaries to ensure transparency.

The main objectives of CCL are: 

• To develop and operate a nonsectarian, nonpolitical, and racially nondiscriminatory program for the teaching of the Chinese language, and the understanding of Chinese culture and tradition. 

• To nurture friendship among the members to work towards propagating the Chinese culture and language and to foster a sense of community by involving members in the running of the center. 

The CCL is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations to the CCL, a qualified organization under IRS regulations, are deductible as allowable by law. All donations will be acknowledged in writing, including the CCL’s tax identification number for your records. Contact your tax advisor for advice concerning the deductibility of your donation.
