Our quoted hire period is up to 7 days.

Can I have my bin for longer than arranged?

Absolutely! Just give us a call before 5pm the day before it is due to be collected and we will arrange for your pickup date to be later. There may be additional charge for extending your hire period, the price depends on the size & contents of the bin. Please note that extension is subject to availability.

To what level can I fill the bin?

Bins may be filled to the top rail, no higher. As it is illegal to transport overloaded bins our drivers cannot remove the bin if it is overfull.

What happens if I overload the bin?

Where possible the driver will try to take the skip, once the overloaded item is removed from the top of the bin, the overloaded item's where possible will be left in a neat pile near the site of the bin.

What happens if the driver can't unload the skip?

We will contact you and advise you that we are unable to remove the skip due to the overloading. We will then arrange for you receive another skip from us to transfer the material into. This skip will be charged at the stated rate.

How much weight can I put in the bin?

The maximum load for our skip bins are 500 Kg per cubic metre. This is the safe lifting limit. Bins may not be filled more than half way with solid fill.

Where do you place the bin?

You tell us. Within reason, we can place the bin wherever is convenient for you. There are some areas we need to avoid, but generally wherever our truck can fit you can place a bin.

Can we put the bin on the nature strip?

Generally, yes, however we cannot block pedestrian access or utility pits. Some Councils will require a permit which you will need to arrange prior to the skip bin being delivered. On the day of pickup and drop off, access is required from 7am. Can you chat to your neighbours on the day the bin is being delivered or picked up and ask them to leave room for our truck? If access is not possible we may need to charge you a fee to cover costs for our driver to return at another time.

Can we put the bin on the road?

Should you wish to put the skip on the road, it is necessary for the property owner to make application to the local council.

How wide is the truck? Will it fit down my driveway?

That depends on the shape and width of your driveway and what's around it. We can request it is left in the driveway but we leave the ultimate say to our drivers as they are the experts at maneuvering the trucks.

Will the truck damage my grass?

Our trucks weigh approximately four to eight tonne before they are loaded. Unfortunately, driving on lawns can cause some damage. We make every effort to ensure we don't.

Will the bin damage my painted / stamped / tiled driveway?

Generally no, but if you are concerned, we recommend that you provide two lengths of timber to place under a bin if you're concerned about possible damage.

Can I move the skip bin?

No, the operator will endeavour to place the bin in your requested position and it is not to be moved before the driver returns for pickup. Moving the bin will result in extra charges for yourself. You may also have the added task of having to empty the bin out before it is recovered.

How much notice is required for booking?

24 hours notice is ample. Depending on the availability of bins and the drivers if you contact us before 10am we may be able to deliver, change over or pick up your bin, that same day.
