I engage with public debate, policy communities and wider audiences on issues related to public investment, urban transformation, innovation and the role of the state in the economy.
My recent public engagements include talks and round tables at the University of Milan, Bocconi University, the New Space Economy Expoforum and the Fondazione Corriere della Sera. I have contributed to discussions on the economic and social impact of research infrastructures, smart cities, urban futures, European policy and the governance of public investment.
I served as Chair of the Local Organising Committee for the Society for Benefit-Cost Analysis 2023 European Conference, held in Milan on 14–15 September 2023.
In 2026, I co-organised the presentation of The Oxford Handbook of the New Spatial Economy at the University of Milan and moderated the public presentation of Massimo Florio’s book Il Capitale contro lo Stato.
I have also contributed to science communication on smart cities and digital inequality, including the Springer Nature Social Science Community post “Digital divides are lower in Smart Cities”, co-authored with Andrea Caragliu.
