I have a '74 El Camino SS400. Factory black w/ black interioir, but now in crappy blue and primer. Has a de-stroked, .040 over 400. Has 205 valved, angle milled, big springed, 041 heads, A.537/.557 lift Elgin solid flat tappet cam. Also a single plane Weiand intake, roller rockers, 850 Holley double pumper, headers, 50,000 volt H.E.I. Now running an 833 3 speed overdrive (4-speed) and a 4:56-8.5-10 bolt with Powertrax locker. Soon changing to 3:90 gear. Oh yeah, and a 125 H.P plate system. Not had it to the track yet, but spring's comin! I'll post pics as soon as possible.

Check out the photo folder "Cars" on my FaceBook profile. I started restoring the 1976 Malibu Classic this autumn, in spite of all my friends saying I was totally nuts! It's partially rusted out and looks like shit but runs like a dream and I simply love it! These cars were sold here in Sweden by GM in the 70's but soon rusted out because of the lack of rust protection.
Best regards

I'm a monteholic. It all started back in 1984 while looking for my first car. I did not know what I really wanted, but it had to be cool and different. My uncle turned me on to the 73-77 monte carlo. I looked at a couple different ones until the day a saw baby blue. It was a 75 baby blue monte with a dark blue top and interior and only had 51,000 on the ticker. Who would of thought 26 years later I would of owned twenty-one 73-77 a-bodies.
My present baby is a 73 monte that I bought in 2002 with 76,000 miles. It is loaded with options that include factory 454/400, swivel seats with console, p/locks, p/windows, tilt, air, landau vinyl top, cruise, am-fm radio. I have since added passenger side remote mirror, p'trunk release, delay wipers, factory tach and gauges. In 2003 I took 2nd place at the National Monte Carlo Owners Association Convention and was in July-2007 CarCraft magazine.
