Chen JIANG(江 辰)

Here is my new webpage at Fudan (github page).

I am a Associate Professor at Shanghai Center for Mathematical Sciences, Fudan Universit.

I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Mathematical Sciences Research Institute (MSRI), Berkeley from Jan. 2019 to May 2019. I was a Project Research Fellow at Kavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe (Kavli IPMU), University of Tokyo from Apr. 2016 to Jan. 2019. Prior to that, I was a JSPS Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Graduate School of Mathematical Sciences, University of Tokyo for one year.

I got my Ph.D. in March 2015 under the supervision of Professor Yujiro Kawamata from Graduate School of Mathematical Sciences, University of Tokyo. I spent my undergraduate years at Fudan University.

Research field: Algebraic geometry

Research interest: I have been working on birational geometry of algebraic varieties. The fundamental tool in this area is the minimal model program (MMP). I am interested in topics related to Minimal Model Program (e.g., existence of good minimal models, non-vanishing conjecture, abundance conjecture, minimal log discrepancies) and properties of minimal varieties and Fano varieties (e.g., boundedness, birationality, geography, positivities, derived categories). I am interested in both exploring general theory in arbitrary dimensions and investigating explicit geometry and classification theory in lower dimensions.
