Centre for Biomass Energy Research and Education

Our research group initiated scientific cooperation with Centre for Biomass Energy Research and Education at the Univerisity of the Silesia in Katowice, Poland.

The goal of the Centre is conducting and promoting dynamic and interdisciplinary biomass energy research by enhancing collaboration between scientists and industry. Through education, the Centre aims at expanding public awareness about biomass utilization to promote its use in a safe and environmentally responsible way.

Our research group will offer advanced chemometric support aiming at designing optimal biomass mixtures using the "Quality-by-design" approach. We will also develop effective process control solutions based on rapid and cost-effective spectroscopic methods (including high-throughput hyperspectral imaging) coupled with effective chemometric and machine learning data modeling techniques.
