CheckbookBudget is a program to keep your money issues in order so you know how much money you probably don't have.
(directions for a true blonde)
Step 1: Setting Up Your accounts
-- Press menu
-- Press more
-- Press accounts
-- To add accounts there is a checkmark that says new, click it, thats what its there for
-- Always save your progress, or youll lose it all and become the sucker with financial issues
-- Give the account a name.
-- Description optional.
-- Balance field says how much money you have in that specific purpose at that moment.
-- Standard deposit tells how much money you will spend in that account every paycheck.
-- Maximum deposit the program will show the limit of how much you will ever save up for that account.
-- If its zero then there is no limit.
-- Priority puts all of your accounts in order of importance to you in case you forget. Energy drinks do that to you, you know.
Step 2: Withdrawal.
-- It shows that you spent money
-- When you spend money take the receipt from the cashier
---Pick an account
---Enter amount the receipt was for
---Enter where you spent it.(The most used locations you enter will appear as its own button so you dont have to retype it as often.
Step 3: Balance Checkbook.
-- When you want to balance your checkbook with the bank you go to menu
-- Click receipts.
-- Click on receipts shown and they will balance themselves out. I can balance my checkbook in two minutes. When was the last time you could do that?
Step 4: Get Paid. In the words of the great Malcom Reynolds 'I do the job. I get paid.'.
-- Go to menu
-- Click on deposits.
---In the deposit, put how much the paycheck was for. It will automatically go through the accounts and as long as it has money it will allocate the standard amount unless the amount will put it over the maximum as long as money remains.
-- Push commit and if you have a remainder then it starts all over.
-- ALWAYS PUSH COMMIT.
Step 5: Transfer.
-- To move money from one pretend/ledger.account to another. This is good for Walmart trips where the different stuff is for the different reasons you have pretend/ledger accounts.
-- Enter your accounts you want to transfer money to and from
-- ALWAYS PUSH COMMIT
Step 6: Reports.
-- Reports show all your accounts and their status.
-- The other report shows receipts by date.
---Shows you everything you did with total and balance.
Step 7: Compressed Transactions.
--Asks you if you really want to do that? Because your phone cares about you. No matter how much it may talk back.
--It takes all of your receipts and turns it into one receipt for each account.
