As with all Medicare plans, you have choices. Thankfully it’s not a ‘one size fit’s all’!
There are many ways to compare plan options:
Medicare.gov is one option for Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug comparisons. Simply looking at one factor of a plan, like the overall cost will not suit your needs if one or more of your medications are not covered. Medicare.gov allows you to compare the plans you might qualify for, however understanding the many nuances of any plan on Medicare.gov’s site is not always as simple as it might seem.
You could read the mountain of mail you receive and try to decipher it on your own. On average, Medicare recipients receive approximately 5 pounds of ‘junk’ mail during the 7 week Annual Enrollment season. (October 15th - December 7th)
You don’t have to navigate Medicare alone. Our agents are licensed, certified and experienced. They’ll review your needs against your current health plan and help you make an informed decision in what is right for you! We are brokers and understand the complexities, limitations and advantages of the plans we represent. This is an advantage for you as we can find the plan that is likely to meet most of your target needs.
As brokers, we hold contracts with a wide variety of insurance carriers. It doesn’t matter to us which plan you choose. We can help. If we determine together, however, that you are already on the right plan then you don’t have to do anything further. Our advice could be to stay right where you are!
Now for the question we know you’ve been dying to ask… ‘How much is this going to cost me?’ We’re glad you asked! Not a Penny! All Insurance agents receive commissions from the carriers when they help you enroll in a plan. It doesn’t cost any more or any less to enroll with a local agent vs enrolling over the phone or online. We offer both as well. Enrolling with one of our local agents offers added value! Your CFIS agent will be able to help you throughout the year with any questions or concerns for as long as you’re on your plan. How great is that?
