Francesc Amat

Welcome!  

I am a Ramon y Cajal Fellow and Deputy Director of the Institutions and Political Economy Research Group (IPERG), and a member of the Department of Economic History, Institutions, Politics and World Economy at the University of Barcelona (UB). 

I am also an Associate Member of Nuffield College, Oxford. 

I am a member of the Academic Council of the Master in Institutions and Political Economy (MIPE) at the University of Barcelona and a visiting professor at IBEI and UC3M. 

I hold a PhD in Political Science from the University of Oxford. 

My research and teaching interests are: 

Political Economy, Comparative Politics, Institutions, Historical Political Economy, Inequality
