Welcome

I am an Associate Professor in the Economics Department at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana

I received my PhD in Economics from Universidad de los Andes in 2013. Before joining Loyola, I was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study in Toulouse (IAST), and Associate Professor at Universidad del Rosario (Bogotá, Colombia) and Universidad Loyola Andalucía (Seville, Spain).

I am interested in using experimental methods and behavioral modeling to economic decision-making, with an affinity to the fields of development, environmental, and health economics.

You can see my CV here (o aquí en español) and get access to my publications here.

A couple of weeks before the kick-off of the Russia 2018 World Cup, Astrid Hopfensitz and myself published an article about emotional expressions and their correlation with World Cup performance in the group stage. The article caught some media attention that you can read here: El Espectador; L'Echo; Financial Times; The Sun; Les Echos; Harvard Business Manager (German edition); New Zealand Herald; Caracol Noticias; La FM; Expresso; Radio Nacional de Colombia
