The Local Area

Our area is well known for its beautiful scenery, beaches, cliff and moorland walks and many places of interest.

Golfing, fishing, riding and sailing are all possible along with many other activities, including swimming and more at the Quayside Leisure Centre in Kingsbridge.

Kingsbridge makes an ideal touring base with drives to Exeter (40 miles), Plymouth (20 miles) and Torquay (20 miles) are all within an hour. The wilds of Dartmoor and even far into Cornwall are perfectly feasible.

Our local towns of Salcombe, Totnes and Dartmouth plus our many beaches are only 5 - 12 miles away. The South Devon Coast Path is there to be explored.

Kingsbridge is a mile away where you will find an excellent selection of shops, supermarkets, banks, garages, pubs/restaurants and churches.

Kingsbridge and Totnes have local markets regularly with Totnes having an Elizabethan market once a week during the summer months.

Many excellent village pubs are 2 - 4 miles away serving good food.
