     At the Centipede Venom Pharm we are centipede experts and focus only on centipede venoms to provide the greatest diversity and highest quality products.  We supply the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and general scientific communities with an easily accessible source of centipede venom for research purposes.  Within the last 3 decades centipede venom has been shown to have numerous potential applications such as antimicrobial, antitumor, gated ion channel blockers and much more.  Undheim, Fry & King (2015) have given a nice overview centipede venoms and discussed their similarities to snake venoms.  Meanwhile, other exploratory opportunities with centipede venoms await being researched, such as disintegrins, which may prove useful for cell signaling/motility, cell adhesion, platelet aggregation, angiogenesis, tumor inhibition and interactions with leukocytes (McLane, Joerger & Mahmoud 2008). 

Our venoms are offered in the forms of fresh frozen venoms (cryopreserved), lyophilized powders, or even air dried.  Our unique method of extracting, preserving and packaging our fresh centipede venoms maximize the stability of active components for optimal yields during the research phase.  Our cryodesiccated venoms are prepared with great care and when properly reconstituted to the original volume they will have very similar toxic, enzymatic and electrophoretic properties as freshly obtained venom.  We cater to our clients’ needs so just contact us to see how we can help you with your centipede venom research project.
