Memorial Day Weekend 2019
Rooms Still Available!!!
DiGenni's Centennial Guesthouse was built in 1895 as a summer vacation house for a wealthy Philadelphia businessman to enjoy the beach with his extended family. Always filled with happy families and good times, the house was even a speakeasy (place to buy illegal alcohol) during prohibition. In 1980, John and Madge DiGenni moved into 127 39th street, only 1/2 a block from where they first met and fell in love fifteen years earlier. They named it the Centennial Guesthouse in honor of the approaching 100th Birthday of Sea Isle in 1982. Fast forward to 2019 and there have been many changes, but the DiGenni Family is still offering a clean, comfortable and above all - affordable choice for vacationers to stay in "The sea and sand family vacation land", that is Sea Isle City.
The fine print:
We affectionately describe the house as a B&B without the breakfast! We are not a hotel or motel and we're proud of that. We ARE a throw back to simpler times. A small operation that has six private, clean, and comfortable rooms. There is cable TV, A/C, and ceiling fans in each room. The rooms do not have a private bathroom. There is one central bathroom (newly renovated) located in the hallway as well as two outside showers/changing rooms in the backyard. All rooms are on the second floor up a flight of stairs. We do not provide towels or beach tags and parking is on-street. We have rooms that can hold 2, 3 or 4 guests each and the occupancy is strict. We do not allow unregistered guests in the rooms after 10pm, so please do not plan on having more stay than you reserved - they will be refused. Guests and their friends are more than welcome to hang out, visit and enjoy cold beverages while people watching on the porch.
