Derek DiCarlo played baseball at Monarch High School before going on to compete at Trinidad State Junior College and CSU Pueblo. After his playing career, Derek began coaching high school in 2014 and joined the Centaurus Warriors in 2018, where he has been an integral part of the program's development.
Outside of baseball, Derek enjoys spending time with his family, hitting the golf course, and cheering on the CU Buffs. As a true Colorado native, his favorite MLB team is the Rockies.
Tarey Treasure is a true local, growing up in Louisville and graduating from Centaurus High School, where he played baseball. He went on to play at Colorado Northwestern Community College before being recruited to Florida International University. Tarey began coaching Centaurus Warriors summer and fall ball before joining the varsity staff in 2025. His favorite moment in baseball was watching his grandson play varsity on the same fields where he grew up.
Coach V began coaching baseball at Centaurus in 1999, bringing with him a background as a football player at Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO. His favorite coaching moment came in 2017, when the varsity team notched a big playoff win. His favorite MLB team is the Rockies.
Coach Mac has been coaching at Centaurus since 1999, starting as C Team coach and then moving to JV with Brandon Kidney. Mac's favorite team is the Centaurus JV team.
Coach Mac's Coaching Style: We stress achieving a focused, energetic, and confident game day attitude through the acquisition of fundamental skills and teamwork in practices. Personal responsibility is key as is communication with the players. We expect players to advocate for themselves, rather than through their parents, as a part of becoming responsible young men.
Brandon Kidney, a Warrior through and through, played baseball at Centaurus High School and graduated in 2012. He has been coaching at Centaurus since 2019 and also serves as a football coach for the Warriors. His favorite coaching memory is the first win of the 2022 season against Longmont, a victory that felt especially sweet after a winless 2021. His favorite MLB team is the Rockies, even when it's tough to be a fan.
Coach Kyle Mason is a Social Studies teacher at Centaurus. He teaches A.P. Government and Politics, A.P. European History as well as standard Government. Coach Mason coaches both football in the fall and baseball in the spring. Coach Mason is the C-Team head coach and has been coaching baseball for eight years and 15 years for football. When he isn’t coaching or teaching, he is spending time with his family which includes his wife, his four children, and four animals. Coach Mason’s favorite baseball team is the St. Louis Cardinals. Besides football and baseball, he loves watching hockey, rugby, and indoor lacrosse. Coach Mason grew up playing Centaurus little league baseball and played for Centaurus in High School.
Coach Jarrod Allen graduated from Centaurus High School in 2024 and jumped right into coaching that same fall. His favorite memory as a player was turning a double play on senior day. Already in his short time with the program, Jarrod has built some great memories, his favorite coaching moment was beating Erie High School in 2025. His favorite MLB team is the Rockies.
