Pool Rules and Regulations
Members must obey the posted safety instructions and follow the directions of the
lifeguards. Being disrespectful to lifeguards may result in consequences. The pool board reserves the right to terminate a membership for violating Cedar Creek Pool rules.Horseplay is not permitted. This includes throwing people in the pool, holding underwater, dunking, scuffling, striking, spitting or spouting of water, running and ball playing on deck. No chewing gum in the pool. Parents are expected to supervise their children while at the pool.
Diving is not allowed from the side of the pool in the shallow end.
Members will be responsible for any damage or pilferage caused by them or their guests.
Absolutely NO solo swimming at any time. At least one more person must be inside the gated area.
Small floats, and small inner tubes, are allowed only when they do not interfere with other members’ safety and enjoyment of the pool. No rafts, boogie boards, hard balls, or any other items that interferes with pool safety.
Small or unsafe objects are not allowed in the pool. They can get trapped in the filters and lines, and damage the pool equipment.
We have very strict levels of water quality for the baby pool. All children using the baby pool must be toilet trained or wear swim diapers. Only children 5 and under are allowed in the baby pool. No furniture is allowed in the baby pool, it ruins the surface. Children cannot be left unattended in either pool.
Stay off the railings on the steps and the ladders. Hanging on them breaks them.
During an electrical storm, no one should be in or near the pool, under trees or under covered deck for 30 minutes after thunder is heard or lightening is seen. If the storm continues the pool may close.
No alcohol, weapons or illegal drugs are allowed on the Cedar Creek Pool premises at any time (including the parking lot). Individuals under the influence of alcohol or drugs are not allowed in the pool area at any time. Smoking is only allowed outside of the fenced area. Please use the butt bucket that is provided.
No animals allowed in the pool or pool enclosure. Exceptions are made for official service animals.
Food and drink must be kept 10 feet from the pool at all times.
No glass is permitted within the pool gates. Only plastic & metal containers are allowed. Please clean up at the end of your time slot.
Proper swim attire is required (no cut-offs, shorts, etc).
The lap lane is designated for serious lap swimmers. Clear the lap lane when requested. Lap swimmers must replace the depth rope when finished.
Driveway is to be used for temporary loading and unloading only. Bikes must be parked in the bike rack area.
Safety and Respect
Remember to follow pool rules. Stay safe and respect the rights of others using the pool. The lifeguards or pool board members have full authority to eject any person from the pool area for rule violation and said person will be reported to the pool board to determine the disposition of that person's privileges. Any member who witnesses rule violations should remind the person in violation of the policy. If the violator does not comply, the incident should be reported to a lifeguard or a board member as soon as possible.
THESE RULES HAVE BEEN CREATED IN THE INTEREST OF EVERYONE'S SAFETY AND COMFORT AND ARE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CLARKE COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH RULES AND REGULATIONS (2001). PLEASE FEEL FREE TO DISCUSS ANY CONCERNS YOU MAY HAVE WITH ANY POOL BOARD MEMBER. WE ARE HERE TO PROMOTE THE USE, SAFETY AND ENJOYMENT FOR OUR POOL MEMBERS.
