American Library Association's YALSA (Young Adult Library Services Association) provides a Teens' Top Ten list for each year as well as links to the ALA book awards that have a special appeal for teen readers.
Another valuable reading tool is YALSA's Outstanding Books for the College Bound and Lifelong Learners.
Recommendations are organized by the following categories: Arts and Humanities, History & Cultures, Literature & Language Arts, Science & Technology, and Social Sciences. Several of these titles are available in our library. The newest list was released in 2019.
A section of the Library of Congress website specifically dedicated to reading is Read.gov .
The site provides suggested reading lists, author webcasts, and information about upcoming reading events.
Many authors also have their own websites, blogs, Twitter feeds, or other online presence to keep their readers up to date on new books or other projects.
