How to land an Internship

How to Land an Internship (1 hour)

What does it cover? The internship search can be overwhelming, and we can help by giving a step-by-step plan to strategize your search. You will also learn about resources available to you, both on and off campus.

Who should go? Anyone who will be looking for internships.

International Student Success

The Center for International Services (CIS), has provided our office with some information that may be useful to international students while navigating the nuances of the job and internship market in the U.S.

You may access the PowerPoint presentations for OPT and CPT here and any instructions surrounding the application process and deadlines here.

If you have more specific questions about OPT/CPT, please contact the CIS by calling (315) 443-2457 or email international@syr.edu. You may also schedule a VIRTUAL appointment with a career counselor to discuss your individual internship or job search. To get the most out of an appointment, seniors and grad students are encouraged to attend the Job Hunt Series Sessions 1 and 2 prior to scheduling an appointment.
