General Rules:
You can compete in any of the events at any time until the time set by the instructor on the last day of the camp. The team with the most points wins!
2 points will be deducted every time your robots fails to complete a challenge. However, you may test it as many times as you want to before you “officially” demonstrate it to me.
Simple Obstacle Course:
Time starts when you touch or go over the start/finish line, and ends when you touch the start/finish line again.
Points:
Completion = 20
Fastest Time = 10, 5 for second place
Advanced Obstacle Course:
The first part of the course will include obstacles that you will need to avoid in order to keep from losing points
The last part of the course will include a line to help guide you to the end
Points are not given for the best time, but the robot must complete the course within 3 minutes total.
Scoring:
Completed Course: 30 points
Every time an obstacle is touched: -5 points
Speed Race:
Time starts when you touch or go over the start line, and ends when you go over the finish line again.
You must start behind the start line
You must stay on the “road”
Points: Completion: 10 points; Fastest Time: 20 points, 10 for second place
DanceBot:
The robot must dance to music for at least one minute while staying within the dance area
Points:
Dance/move to robot-generated music for 1 minute: 10
360 turn, then back and forth, in response to a clap (multiple times): 10
Hint: Run tasks in parallel
