Open to producers having less than 3,000 birds
Eggs will be judged on:
Size: Total weight of the exhibit. A perfect score for weight is one dozen weighing between 24 and 27 ounces.
Uniformity of Color: All eggs in the entry should be of the same shade of color. If eggs are white they should all be shale white and free from creamy or tinted colorings. If eggs are brown they should be uniformly the same shade of color.
Uniformity of Shape: Each egg is to conform as nearly as possible in shape. Extremes should be avoided.
Shell Texture: Each egg should be strong and of uniform thickness.
Condition: The eggs should be clean and carry a natural bloom. Any of the following will disqualify the entry:
a. Total weight of less than 20 ounces or more than 27 ounces per dozen
b. Eggs showing signs of incubation or germ development
c. Inedible eggs
