Beautiful Baby Contest

Pictures will be displayed all week long in Beaver Hall. Open to all Cameron County babies who are less than 2 years old by the start of the Fair.

Bring photo of the baby (framed and ready for hanging) to be placed in Beautiful Baby Corner. Information on back of the picture should include: baby's name and age, address and phone number of parents.

Voting will be through donations of $.10 for each vote. Winner will be the baby with the most votes by the general public. Donations will be given to the Fair Association to help defray expenses. Winner will be announced Friday night at 6:00p.m. Please make every effort to attend if your baby was entered. Prize will include a Basket of gifts.

Prince and Princess Contest

Open to all Cameron County boys and girls ages 6 through 10 (Must be 6 on or before August 1 and no older than 10 by August 1).

To enter the contest, a parent or guardian should call Jami Kempher at 486-1412 for an application. Applications must be returned to Jami by July 23.

Contestants will meet with out-of-town judges the week before the Fair. Judging will be on appearance (party dress clothes for girls, dress shirt and pants for boys), response to judges' questions, vocal quality; poise and overall impression.

Winners will be announced Friday, August 6 at 7:30 on the stage. Winners will receive $25, a crown and a sash.

Junior Miss Cameron County

Contest is open to girls ages 11 through 15 who are residents of Cameron County. Applications are available by contacting Jami Kempher at 486-1412. Deadline for submitting applications is July 23.

Applicants will be judged on poise, appearance, vocal quality, response to judges' questions and on overall impression.

Applicants will be asked to submit a short essay (one paragraph) on "Why I would like to be Junior Miss Cameron County". Judging will be done the week before the fair by out-of-town judges. Dates to be announced.

The crowning ceremony will be held Friday August 6 at 7:45 p.m.. Junior Miss Cameron County will receive $50, crown, sash and flowers.

Senior King & Queen

Nominations are being accepted for individuals 55 & older. If you would like to nominate someone, please submit a picture and short biography by July 23rd to Jami Kempher.

Cameron County Has Talent

Prizes will be awarded in each age group and category. Decision of the judges will be final.

Age groups: 0-7 years of age; 8-16 years of age; 17 & older.

Each age division will be divided into two (2) categories-vocal and other (includes dance, cheer routines, gymnastics, etc.)

Performers must provide their own music (CD or live) and props. CCFA will provide microphones and sound equipment.

Maximum set up time of five (5) minutes will be allowed for each performance.

Will be judged by a panel of judges.

Premiums: First $25, Second $15, Third $10
