Major Contests
CCFA Board of Directors, Manager
Contestants must enter on official entry blanks (available in the fair office). All information must be provided.
All contestants must remain in contest area until competition is completed.
Rules of individual events must be followed.
Major contests will be conducted as follows:
Thursday August 7, 2025, 7:30p.m., on the stage
Contestants driving the most nails in the allotted time will be the winner.
There will be three (3) prizes in each division: 1st- $10.00, 2nd- $8.00, 3rd- $6.00
Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 8:30 a.m.
Class 1A- Men's Single
Class 1B- Men's Double
Class 2A- Women's Single
Class 1B- Women's Double
Class 3A- Mixed Double
Cameron County Recreation Board Rules will be followed.
Prizes of $20.00, $12.00, $8.00 for doubles, $10.00, $6.00, $4.00 for singles. Decision of the judges will be final. Prize money will be mailed to the contestants. Entry fee of $2.00 will be required.
This contest will be held during the opening tractor parade. All contestants will need to fill out a registration form before the parade.
Premiums:
$50, $25, $15
Floats will be judged on design, creativity, originality, and workmanship. Riders may be on the float but must obey any safety rules put forth by the committee.
Miss Cameron County
Friday, August 8, 2025, 7:00p.m.
Each Fair Queen contestant must
1. Be a resident of Cameron County
2. Be at least age 16, but no older than 20, years of age as of June 1.
3. Not hold any other title for any other commodity group or pageant during her reign.
4. Have her parent(s)' or guardian(s)' consent to enter the competition.
5. Be single, have never been married, have not been pregnant nor given birth to a child.
6. Act in accordance with the PA Fair Queen “Behavior Policy”
7. Meet all time commitments, Queen obligations and Dress Code
Applicants will be asked to submit an essay on "What My Fair Means to the Community". Judging will be done by out-of-town judges. Applicants will be judged on poise, appearance, vocal quality, self confidence, ability to converse, school and community involvement.
Queen contestants will also be required to create a poster of their life from the past year. Pictures, ribbons, etc can be used. Must be 1 piece of poster board. Poster will be judged and added to score. Poster will be due by August 3rd.
Grand Prize $300, trip to state pageant in Hershey, flowers, sash and crown. Runner up receives $50.00.
**$300 will be broken up and given to winner 3 times. Winner will receive $100 at crowning, $100 at last fair board meeting before Hershey, and finally $100 will be given after giving up reign, as long as all requirements are fulfilled.

Cameron County Has Talent
Tuesday, August 5, 2025 7:00 p.m.
Age Groups: 0-7 years of age
8-16 years of age
17 and older
Each age division will be divided into two (2) categories-vocal and other (includes dance, cheer routines, gymnastics, etc.)
Performers must provide their own music (CD or live) and props. CCFA will provide microphones and sound equipment.
Maximum set up time of five (5) minutes will be allowed for each performance.
Will be judges by a panel of judges.
Prizes: 1st $25.00
2nd $15.00
3rd $10.00
Prizes will be awarded in each age group and category. Decision of the judges will be final.
Premiums: $15, $10, $7
Exhibitor must be a PA Resident-one entry per person
Apron must have been made in 2025
Apron details:
Colors-combination of Red, White, and Blue ONLY
Type/Apron Styles permitted: half apron, bib apron, printed apron (ex. preprinted apron panel)
Entries to be judged on workmanship, worth of article, appropriateness of material and design. Point system scoring
First place winner from each local fair will be eligible to enter their apron in the 2026 PA State Farm Show Contest.
