Section 1
Judged on flavor, general appearance, and crumb.
Rolls should be of uniform shape and size in plastic bags.
Yeast breads should have no fork pricks.
All entries should be entered on disposable plates and wrapped. The Fair association will not be responsible for the return off plates, etc.
All products must be made by the exhibitor. Premiums will not be paid for commercial products
Complete baked goods must be brought to the fair. After judging, the fair may display only a portion of the product for the week.
Premiums are: $4.00 $3.00 $2.00 $1.00
Section 2
Canned and Dried Products
Canned fruit and vegetables to be judged on quality, general appearance.
Container which shall be used is a standard clear glass jar with a new lid. Jars to be standard pint and quart size canning jars only. Mayonnaise jars, peanut butter jars etc. are not acceptable.
Use two piece self sealing lids (flat discs and metal screw bands) for sealing all jars of food.
Metal screw bands may be loosely applied while transporting jars to and from fair to prevent damage; however, screw bands must be removed from jars before exhibiting entries.
All food not in a standard jar and not sealed with self sealing lids will be disqualified by the judge.
Canned Fruits
Premiums are: $2.00 $1.75 $1.50
Section 4
Butter, Jams, Jellies, Preserves, Conserves
Entries must be sealed, with rings removed
Judged on appearance and flavor
No paraffin
Foods not in standard jars or not sealed with self-sealing lids will be disqualified by the judge.
