Artist Spotlight – Tuesday, November 9 – 7:00 PM - Visual Storytelling

Acclaimed TV writer and award-winning photographer Susan Borowitz is the speaker, and you will learn what it takes to create a photograph that asks the questions which lead the viewer to see the story behind the picture! Awards Ceremony for MPA’s 5th Annual Photography Contest

Mark your calendar for Sunday, November 14 at 7:00 PM for a live virtual webinar during which all award winners will announced and their images viewed. The three judges (Eileen Rafferty, Charles Needle and Mollie Isaacs) will be there, and will provide commentary on why the winning images were chosen. This is a fun, must see event. Mark your calendars and stayed tuned for more information.

 

The MPA Member Benefit Program

MPA is launching an initiative for members of an MPA affiliated club to receive a discount from the published price of workshops and seminars. An arrangement has been made with photographer Mollie Isaacs who will be hosting a 2-day workshop titled Abstracts with Impact, which will take place on November 12 and November 19. Learn how to find abstract subjects and how to create beautiful images from ordinary things. MPA Gallery Shows – Looking for Volunteers

MPA will be exhibiting images from the 5th Annual Photography Contest, during 2022, at the Maryland State House of Delegates and The Activity Center at Bohrer Park. Volunteers are needed to help plan for these events, as well as to help collect and return images to members from your club. If interested, contact MPA at mpa@mdphotoalliance.org.
