DION-MOUNT OLYMPUS

Dion was the ancient sacred city of the Macedonians and there is a great archeological area-park where we will visit the sacred holy area of Dimitra, Zeus and Isida, the ancient city walls, the central roads and early Christian basilica churches. We will also visit the three store archeological museum built at the shadow of Mount Olympus. We continue to Mount Olympus and we will walk 30’ through the Enipeas gorge (the flattest part of the mountain-easy to walk for everyone). After that we will have lunch at a restaurant in the village of Litochoro, built on the roots of Olympus. Return to our hotel.
