| Download jMAP with eighteen example causal maps | In this zip file is a copy of jMAP containing one expert/instructor map (presented in the MyMap worksheet) and causal maps produced by eight students across two time periods (in Excel files 1.1, 1.2, 2.1, 2.2, etc). Click "Download" button in jMAP to import all 18 maps, aggregate the first 8 student maps (see worksheet g1), and aggregate the remaining eight maps (see worksheet g2). The two aggregate maps can then be superimposed over the map presented in the MyMap worksheet (the instructor's map) to determine: (a) to what extent the maps from first eight students (when examined collectively) are similar to the instructor's map; (b) to what extent the maps from the last eight students are similar to the instructor's map; and (c) differences in similarities overall between the two groups of students.
Download jMAP v3.997 that includes a function that scores students maps on their ability to correctly identify root causes and the sequence of events/variables that mediate the effects of the root causes on the outcome variable. See screen shot example below.
jMAP 4.0 - Logs all actions performed while constructing a diagram into an Excel worksheet. The log data can be analyzed to identify the diagramming processes and strategies that produce higher quality diagrams. The log data can also be used within jMAP to play back the diagram construction process for visual analysis. [ Download ]
