I am a lecturer in Philosophy at the University of Bristol, UK

I work on philosophical logic and formal epistemology, and often on the connection between these.

One area of great interest to me is self-referential probabilities and probabilistic liar paradoxes (the topic of my PhD thesis), thought of primarily with "probability" understood as one's degrees-of-belief. I'm also working on risk-weighted expected utility theory and imprecise probabilities and whether they can "play nice" with accuracy, or "epistemic utility theory". I obtained my Dr.Phil. (PhD) at the Munich Centre for Mathematical Philosophy, supervised by Hannes Leitgeb. I then spent a year as a research fellow in Corpus Christi College, Cambridge. Before all that, I studied Mathematics and Philosophy at Oxford University.
