Research interests

I am mostly interested in entomology, systematics and molecular ecology, with special interest in speciation patterns of beetles as a result of the uplift of the Andes and how beetles have adapted to live in these extreme environments. My PhD research will focus on analyzing populations of beetles that occur in the páramo ecosystem of Ecuador.
