DIRECTIONS: CASCA will be awarding $6,000 this year - four scholarships @ $1,500 each. They will be awarded to high school seniors who recognize the important role of their high school counselors. The amount of each scholarship will be $1,500. SUBMIT via this online form only BY APRIL 1, 2025.
Criteria -
1. Candidates must be a New Jersey resident, a 2025 graduate of an Atlantic County or Cape May County high school, and have been accepted/plan to enroll in a post-secondary institution.
2. Candidates must write a 250-300 word essay describing how their school counselor has positively influenced his/her life. Applicants can give specific examples about their counselors such as helping with important decisions, providing support in a critical time, assisting in developing self-understanding and self-acceptance, etc.
3. The school counselor who is the subject of the essay MUST be a CURRENT MEMBER of the Cape Atlantic School Counselor Association (CASCA). We will not be able to consider any applications if the individual counselor has not paid CASCA dues. If a school counselor is unsure about his/her membership status, please email casca.schoolcounselor@gmail.com.
