Since my PhD, I have published 31 articles in international refereed journals, written three books and several book chapters, and have contributed to several policy related documents that have exposed my work to the general public (through 19 policy reports and papers published as working papers).

My H-index is 17, my work is cited more than 750 times, according to Google Scholar, and has been published in top journals in economics, operations research, educational research and educational psychology (see top-publications). I have, among others, published in Computers & Education, the 3rd ranked journal in Educational Research (3/243, top 2% ranking) and in the Journal of Educational Psychology, the 3rd ranked journal in Educational Psychology (3/59, top 5% ranking).

I have several publications with renowned (international) co-authors and in many cases I am the first author on those publications. I also have published almost all of my articles without my PhD-supervisors or my promotors (in fact, the only publications I have with my promotors are publications of my PhD-students of which my former promotors were also the promotors).

I am regularly consulted by newspapers on topics that are related to my research, such as summer schools.
