Each year, the Canton Optimist Club sponsors projects and activities aimed at improving the lives of Cherokee County youth.  Among the Club’s projects and activities are Youth Appreciation Day, oratorical and essay contests, and the Canton Christmas Parade.  In order to ensure the ongoing success of these outreach projects, the Club offers the “Flags for Kids” program to Canton area residents.  

A subscription to the “Flags for Kids” program entitles Canton homeowners and business to have a 3-foot by 5-foot American flag (flagpole included) placed at their home or business in commemoration of the following seven national holidays:

President’s Day

Memorial Day

Flag Day

Labor Day

Independence Day

Veteran’s Day

Patriot’s Day (9/11)    

Club volunteers will deliver and install flags before the listed holidays. Subscribers do not have to be present for the installation. The Optimist Club is solely responsible for the replacement of any and all soiled, damaged, or stolen flags.  The Club will pick up and store each subscriber’s flag at no additional cost. Please consider joining your neighbors by subscribing to this colorful and patriotic program.  

 “Flags for Kids” Subscription –   $50/year

Subscribers will be billed via e-mail each January.  Invoices will be e-mailed each year until the Club receives a notice of cancellation. 

To subscribe, please complete the form below.  We will review your location to determine if we will be able to service your location.  For new subdivisions, we usually require 10 subscriptions to service the location.  As of June 2023, we service:
